Not far from the store, where our whole village buys fresh bread every day, there is a woman who loves pigeons very much.
I don’t know what caused such a craving for these birds, but she buys cereals and seeds for them, and then scatters them every morning at her house. Of course, these birds flock from all over the area and expect breakfast.
I even photographed how many of them were sitting on wires near the "canteen" one morning. It looks very funny, but I have heard more than once scandals that occur between an amateur birdwatcher, neighbors and shop assistants in this regard.
Village scandals
I think everyone understands that the popular picture of excellent country life on the Internet has been very embellished lately. It is worth noting that, as in the whole society, there are not enough well-mannered people in the village. In the early 90s, on our side there was a huge collective farm, which contained a gigantic livestock. Of course, for the most part, those who worked on farms did not differ in special education and upbringing. And now, now they are pensioners, they live next to us. And for any reason they can organize such a scandal, which the director of even modern obscene films will envy.
And two such lovers to cut the truth-uterus, did not agree in character. The reason is pigeons.
Why are pigeons dangerous?
The former paramedic, who to this day heals half of the village, abnormally, of course, justifies her aversion to pigeons by the fact that they carry diseases and infections. She is especially annoyed by the fact that a neighbor feeds them near the store. As soon as a car arrives with the goods - bread, milk, these birds flock, as if on command.
After all, loaves are taken out on wooden pallets, from which crumbs are poured. And the pigeons, accustomed to being fed in this area, are not afraid of anyone, almost climb into the van with bread.
But on their paws and feathers, birds can carry the most dangerous diseases. Moreover, many of them are dangerous to humans, and not just to animals.
For example, salmonellosis, toxoplasmosis, tularemia, tuberculosis. These are very dangerous infections. Their danger is that they are difficult to recognize and treat them like common colds or intestinal disorders. Although more extensive treatment is needed, targeting pathogens.
And who in our time, when half of the hospitals are closed, will do tests for toxoplasmosis? Who will give a referral for this analysis if the symptoms are like those of a common cold?
But pigeons, in addition to infections, also carry parasites - ticks, fleas, bedbugs. And, flying over the grain wagon, who will they shake from their plumage?
That is why there is often swearing at the store, when the sellers, the retired paramedic and the pigeon lover shout to the whole village. The matter came to the police, the district police officer came, who collected all the testimonies and sent them to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision. Now we are waiting for the results of the consideration of the case.
Opponents of bird dominance, gloatingly frighten the neighbor with thousands of fines. As soon as something becomes clear, I will definitely tell you.
