"I do the repair myself" - Rate 3 tips, useful for beginners
When you make repairs, you often need to solve problems with an improvised tool, because you can't get enough of everything for all cases. Therefore, you improvise on the go. I want to share the best practices that I use in repairs.
Long material marking
It was necessary to mark out a sheet of drywall, the length of the rule was not enough to draw from point to point.
A thread came to the rescue, I made a knot at one end, cut the material along the mark, tucked in, pulled and tucked into the opposite slot, everything can be made marks and traced.
And if the thread is dumped in blue, then you can just pull it back and release it, then it will clap to the material, here is the finished line for you.
The foam can stick to the gun
If there is a lot of work with foam, then the problem begins to "strain", there was one thought, but somehow it was too lazy to implement it, but patience came to an end.
Now, I just lubricate the threads with lithol (you can use any lubricant), and the problem disappeared, it is easy to remove and tighten. I shared the idea with the windows, they thanked them, they use the foam all the time and they know about this trick.
Layout for socket boxes
He sheathed the wall with plasterboard, and there are already sockets, he came up with a simple method of marking.
I screwed in two self-tapping screws on the side, slammed a sheet against them, there were two dents, drew a line between them and in the middle, drilled with a crown in fact. It's that simple!
