Introduce indoor plants in your home that purify the air

Everyone who builds and decorates a new house is undoubtedly faced with the fact that they have to buy construction and finishing materials that cannot be called completely environmentally friendly. All materials, even those that manufacturers declare as clean, in fact, still emit a certain amount of harmful substances.

Therefore, one should not rush to start living in a new house from the first year. It is good if the house stands at least all year round - it freezes, fries, is blown by the winds and washed out by the rains. Of course, this will not completely cleanse it, but a significant portion of the freshest, most volatile compounds that a home gives off can be weathered.

We have been building the house for 5 years, so we have it pretty much ventilated until it is fully sealed - in 4 years. Then the heating was connected, and the house was already sealed. But, as soon as the opportunity arises in the spring, we immediately open the windows and all summer, practically, we do not close them. And in winter we constantly ventilate the bedrooms before going to bed.

But we have a long winter, so helpers are needed to clean up the atmosphere in the house. And these are indoor plants. Especially important are those plants that are able to absorb formaldehydes and benzenes. It is these substances that are part of modern finishing materials and furniture.

Chlorophytum is the most essential plant in the house, which is able to absorb formaldehyde and benzene. I wanted to buy several plants in the store, but it turned out to be very expensive - an adult plant costs 333 rubles. In my photo it is in the background - with striped leaves.

Scheffler Gerd is a very beautiful plant. It is indispensable in those homes where there are smokers. Its leaves are capable of neutralizing unpleasant odors and tar. And since there is also a lot of resin in the new house, the shefflera is an absolutely irreplaceable assistant, even if there are no smokers. It is a very beautiful plant that has an irresistible appearance. True, its leaves are poisonous, so children should not be allowed to play with it.

The price of a fairly large copy in the store is about 700 rubles.

Coffee tree - cleans the air from toxins and pathogens. It is biological objects that can neutralize this plant. In addition to the fact that it is very beautiful, experiments on growing fruits can still be carried out with it. Coffee grows for a very long time and can be passed down from generation to generation.

The price of a small specimen is about 400 rubles.

And the last plant worth mentioning as a purifier is Benjamin's ficus. Very beautiful, energetically useful, absorbing a lot of harmful compounds and dust from the air. But such a vacuum cleaner requires constant cleaning - the leaves need to be washed, because they collect a lot of dust and the pores are clogged.

The price of a small bush is 433 rubles. Larger specimens are much more expensive.

Here is my pick of houseplants in the store. Now you still need to choose the right pots and transplant before it's too late. Autumn is the time for this.
