Budget finishing of aerated concrete house. Didn't know that everything could be that simple. Now I think: "Can I use it for myself?"
Nice, high quality, and cheap - this is how I would like to see the results of my construction work. But for all the time that my self-construction has been going on, I have not seen such a "miracle". And now, something seemed on the horizon ...
Friends, a big hello to everyone. Do-it-yourself construction is not only the work process itself, but also constant planning and thinking through future work. Especially in my case, when all ideas are improvisation (no project), then all these processes are almost 24/7.
He erected the foundation - thought over the laying of the walls, put the rafters - thought over the installation of windows, insulated the roof - represented the filling of the floor screed.
And now, the internal work is underway, and I am thinking how to make the external decoration.
Although my house has not spent the first season with bare aerated concrete walls, and it does not bother me in any way, I still understand that this moment will come, and it will be necessary to finish the facade.
And most importantly, why this moment is being delayed is high costs, both financial and in terms of the amount of work (I still do everything alone).
- Despite how much even simple plasters cost, everything becomes clear, and to imagine that all this needs to be learned to apply, then the desire disappears altogether.
- The rest of the finishes differ only in the change in the ratio "price - complexity of work". Easy to make means pay, and if the material is inexpensive, then get ready to work and sweat.
β So I decided that all of this can wait. After all, for me, the main thing now is to finish the inside, and finally to call into the house.
But suddenly an interesting variant appeared.
As the saying goes, "all ingenious is simple."
While we are offered a bunch of "innovative" options for finishing the facade, everyone has forgotten, about the simplest option is painting. In the meantime, there are examples of such works.
I immediately try everything on myself ...
- You need to do a little work with the wall. The masonry is even, I did not cover the seams with glue, so you can simply select the blocks by making grooves in the joints.
In general, this is done during masonry (from the edges of the block, the chamfer is removed), but it seems to me that this can be done on the finished wall.
- Then just prime.
- And paint it with the appropriate paint (I think there are no particular difficulties in painting).
The only thing that confuses... is that everything is so simple π.
β It is clear that there are special paints, but how much will this beauty be enough if applied directly to the block?
β Or do you still need to plaster the walls to get additional protection, and that's another story?
β Will all these paints work as they should (protect from moisture from the outside, and remove steam from the inside)?
And in general, why are there so few examples of such wall decoration ??? In general, there are still more answers and doubts.
While work is going on inside the house, there is time to think ...
