I chose a brushcutter for a long time, found a new product from Resanta with a capacity of 2500 watts. I show this beast machine
This year I decided to buy myself a powerful brushcutter for making hay (I have an old Chinese trimmer, but it is weak and is only suitable for mowing grass in my garden). After a long search on the Internet, I never expected to see gasoline trimmers from Resanta! I already have an inverter welding machine from this company (by the way, thanks to them, Resanta became so popular), so I decided to trust them this time too.
It turns out that Resanta has a fairly large line of gasoline and electric trimmers from simple garden trimmers to professional ones with a power of as much as 2900 watts. I opted for the BTR-2500R petrol trimmer, as it had the perfect combination of price and power for me.
Now I will show you its complete set, and at the end we will launch and test this beast machine!
The set of this gasoline trimmer includes: a collapsible rod with a gearbox, the engine itself, a reel with a fishing line, control knobs (right and left), a knapsack belt type (very convenient in contrast to the usual webbing), a cutting disc with a victorious tip, a protective cover, glasses, a set of keys, a gas canister and instruction.
The engine is air-cooled, its power is 2500 W and it develops up to 9500 rpm. I also liked the quality of the plastic.
Before assembling, I immediately looked into the gearbox to check if there was any lubricant there. Inside, I saw a blue grease, which was packed to capacity, so I did not add it (the manufacturer recommends adding it every 15 hours of operation). But the shaft turned out to be dry, so I lubricated it with ordinary lithol-24.
By the way, I noticed the inscription "Japan" on the gearbox. It's no secret that Resanta's tools are assembled in China, but apparently this trimmer has Japanese-made parts (at least a gearbox).
The manufacturer made one nice change when assembling this trimmer. Instead of the standard four screws, here the handles are screwed in with one screw, which is tightened by hand. It is very convenient and the handles can be quickly adjusted at any time.
Another advantage of this trimmer is its weight. The handles and bar are made of aluminum and weighs only 5.8 kg without accessories. With a coil and a full tank, it weighs just over 7.5 kg.
The assembly did not take much time (in the instructions it is shown in great detail), I prepared the mixture (I use a 25: 1 ratio for running in) and proceeded to the first run. Here the "Easy Load" reel is installed and the brushcutter started up literally with half a kick.
When working, there is no vibration (there is an anti-vibration system) and already during the running-in I felt the full power of this brushcutter. You can see her at work in the short video below.
In general, I am very pleased with the purchase and the item is really good. At the end of the summer, I will definitely supplement my review and tell in the comments how she worked for the season.
