I thought: markup is the key to good editing. But fixing it turned out to be even more difficult. How did I get out with the frame?
Work in my house under construction continues, and at the same time the installation of the frame for drywall is underway. As with any new job, unexpected nuances awaited me.
Friends, everyone is a huge hello. In one of the previous articles on this topic, I told how I coped with the markup, for the installation of a metal frame.
In this particular case, I tried to do everything as mono as more precisely, in order to end up with, if not ideal, then close to this result.
I tried to cope with the laser level, but in the end I settled on a regular lace (why I made this choice, read on my channel).
But it turned out that all the difficulties lay ahead ...
And they began when I began to expose the profile along the lace and fasten it.
- You hold the profile with one hand (it turns out to be hanging), and with the other you twist a self-tapping screw with a drill.
- And while this drill drills the hole, the profile can move from the marking. You fixed everything like that, you look... And everything is crooked and askew.
- And when the inconvenience of work is superimposed on this, you come across not very good self-tapping screws (they twist hard), while you get tired along the way, and the further, the worse ...
All these are little things that you don't know about in advance ...
Having made several fasteners in this way, I realized that something needed to be changed.
β In this work, the main thing is to first securely fix the profile, and only then screw it on.
At first I tried to get off with a simpler method, and fix the details with these clamps-clothespins.
But they turned out to be rather weak for this job.
As a result, I came to this way:
β I took a regular clamp, and a bar (width with profile).
β I made a mark on the bar: the distance that should be from the profile to the laces.
β We fix the bar to the suspension with a clamp, press the profile on top, and screw it quietly.
When you get your hands on it, everything turns out pretty quickly and easily.
