I give drawings of a time-tested universal workbench for a home workshop
This is a workstation with modules for sawing, milling, a vice for securing parts, a storage space for tools, as well as a module for a jointer and planer.
This is the main device, device, machines around and with which I work in my home workshop. This workplace has been serving me for almost 6 years. During this time, some elements have changed or supplemented a lot, but in general, the design has remained unchanged.
I developed a modular design so that this workbench could be placed in rooms of different sizes, including small ones.
Below I propose to see the plans for a possible configuration of the workbench with dimensions for different rooms. (Scroll through the gallery)
While working on this workbench, I made several changes that do not affect the main structure.
Replaced the workbench tabletop.
For the sawing module, I changed the work surface, added a T-track for the miter fence and added a magnetic starter to turn on the saw.
For the milling module, I also updated the work surface, added a track for the carriage and redesigned the stop.
More details can be found in the early post.
On this workbench the planer-thicknessing machine is successfully located. I lowered one of the mountings for the removable module lower and now this machine has taken its place on the workbench.
The jointer stop can be easily removed so that you can use the circular without problems. The emphasis is stored under the jointer, hanging in the corners on which the machine stands.
Also made a new vice for the workbench.
More details about the design of this vice can be found here.
Recently I also made a set of drawers, which I installed inside the main table. The boxes are designed for various small things.
Drawings of this workplace can be downloaded from the links below. The archive contains a PDF file with drawings and a 3D model for the SketchUp program.

In addition: when I changed the working surface on the sawing and milling module, I refused to adjust the module with screws. I have these modules in one place, only sometimes they are removed, so I aligned these modules with the main table for a specific place. And the drawings show how to adjust the removable module when installed in any provided place.
