Another easy way to install a manual circular on a table
I have one of the most demanded machines in my workshop - a circular saw. This machine is made of a hand-held circular saw in the form of a module for a workbench.
The blueprints for my universal workbench can be picked up here:
For a long time, the saw was fixed in the table using retractable supports. and it could be removed if necessary and used in the usual way.
Recently, I decided to test another way to install the circular on the table - with the help of these clamps.
I have two types of these clamps with a horizontal arm and a vertical arm.
In clamps with a vertical lever, the pressure pin is lowered to a greater depth relative to the fastening, and I first wanted use them, but the vertical lever is pressed quite easily and loosens the clamp, so the saw was pressed down with clamps with horizontal lever.
The saw was fixed on two clamps. I tried to place them closer to the center line of the saw platform.
In order for them to securely press, I had to additionally glue nuts on the platform.
With this attachment, there is good access to all parts of the saw and nothing prevents you from setting the cutting depth or tilting the saw.
It may seem that two clamps are not enough for reliable fastening, but I have already tested the machine with such a fastening and did not notice any problems.
I put two clamps so that nothing would interfere with tilting the saw. Although, for reliability, it is still better to put 4 pieces.
If you clamp on the very edge from the side of the slope, then you can put a clamp and it will not interfere with the setting of the cutting angle.
I took these clamps on Aliexpress.
With horizontal arm - here, and with vertical - here.
