Friends, a big hello to everyone. Perhaps the owners of professional equipment will not understand why this is necessary at all. But there are amateurs like me who buy a budget option and hope that everything is possible with it.
Here is a laser level, I bought at the very beginning of my construction.
And I immediately realized what was the disadvantage of inexpensive devices.
β Firstly, this is the poor clarity of the laser at long distances, and its inhomogeneity.
β And second, problems at work during the day, outdoors. On a clear day, no measurements can be made, since the beam is simply not visible. For such purposes, you need a special receiver (this is an additional device). So I had to wait until dusk to work ...
And now, only when all the main work had already passed inside my house, I learned that there was a simple way out.
The laser beam receiver was always at hand.
It turns out that instead of a special receiver for the beam, you can use a regular smartphone that has a front camera. And a similar method has been walking on the Internet for a long time, but I just came across it ...
The algorithm of actions is as follows:
- Sets the laser level.
- Then, in the place where you need to make the markup, we put the phone with the screen to the laser and to ourselves (to see the screen), with the front camera turned on.
- And we start to drive them (as if in search of a ray) until the laser beam on the screen begins to compare very brightly.
β This is an indication that the laser has just hit the front camera. And the brighter the beam, the closer it is to the center of the camera lens. It remains only to make the markup.
And at first I doubted the effectiveness of this method, but after checking everything in practice, I was convinced of the benefits of this life hack.
Of course, the house has enough built-in capabilities of my level, but development is still planned on the site, so I will definitely use it.
Thus, you can make a fairly accurate markup (considering the small size of the camera optics, +/- 1-2 mm), which is very acceptable, especially when marking over long distances.
