Two years ago my daughter offered to buy a coffee machine. All I could say in response was, “What? Have you seen how much it costs?!” After that, he waved a new Turk in front of her, hinting that our family already had a coffee machine. Cheap! Angrily! Fashionable!

All two years, my wife and I stubbornly kept the defense, as we considered the device desired by our daughter to be somewhat excessive for the house. Although, it must be admitted, coffee is respected and loved. But! What kind of a nobility is that?! It didn’t bother us at all to spend ten minutes in the morning preparing this invigorating drink in a Turk. Therefore, this request was invariably denied to the teenager, referring to the high cost of the coffee machine. Agree, there is a difference: 1,500 rubles for a new Turk or 15,000 - 60,000 rubles for a coffee maker.

I hoped that my daughter would eventually forget about this whim, but I turned out to be wrong. On another birthday, a teenager knocked out gift money and announced that he had collected enough funds to buy an inexpensive coffee machine. Inexpensive - this is, so you understand, 15,000 rubles. In a word, we were confronted with a fact!

The daughter went through the models with passion, came to consult, picked up everything up to the color of the desired unit. Therefore, one way or another, I was immersed in the agony of choice, which eventually fell on the DeLonghi C685.BK model. The model was chosen, on the one hand, simple, without expensive consumables, such as coffee capsules or tablets, on the other hand, convenient in everyday life and easy to wash. Yes, my wife said that she definitely would not wash the miracle equipment.

Why do we like this model?

This coffee machine is carob, that is, coffee is poured into a special horn with a handle, which is attached to the machine in the place where hot water will be supplied. Portion regulators are special cups-liners, for one or two servings, respectively. We found it convenient. He poured coffee with a measuring spoon (included in the kit), rammed it and connected it to the machine. After use, the used coffee is easily shaken off into the trash, and the horn is washed.

Also, this model has a cappuccinatore, through which hot steam is supplied to heat milk and foam. The machine itself, except for water, does not need to be filled with anything. The cappuccinatore, by the way, is removable and must be washed after each use.

It seemed to us that such a model would be easy to maintain. The only thing that was alarming was a lot of reviews about marriages and breakdowns of coffee machines, and different brands. In my opinion, it was strange, because the design is quite simple.

And then came that happy day. We went with the whole family to the nearest chain store for our coffee maker. Daughter glowed with joy! After all, I dreamed for two years! We bought the selected model in black, and in anticipation brought it home. We unpacked, read the instructions, turned it on and... found that the water refuses to go where it should, instead it spreads under the coffee maker in a neat puddle.

And dances began around obstinate technology. Everything was tried, the instruction was memorized, like “Our Father”, but nothing helped. As a result, I took it back to the store, but the equipment was not immediately exchanged, but sent for examination. We waited almost a week for confirmation of marriage. And only then it was possible to exchange the goods.

The second visit of the coffee machine to our house was casual, without fanfare and the official delegation of the household. But it was in such a relaxed atmosphere that the machine worked.

And here another surprise awaited us. The coffee was delicious! Much tastier than the one I cooked in a Turk. And what a flavor! In addition, the cunning machine has the ability to program. You can set the temperature, cup volume and even adjust the water hardness level.

And where, I ask you, is justice? Some piece of iron buzzed and voila! And why, one wonders, earlier every morning for ten minutes I meditated with a mysterious view over a coffee cap?

But! Yes, yes, there is definitely a “But!”. Where without him? The consumption of coffee per serving has definitely increased. That is, we began to use coffee more.

By cons, I would also include infernal sounds during the operation of the cappuccinatore. If someone has not yet been awakened by a pleasant coffee aroma, then the screeching sounds of milk frothing into the foam of the cappuccinatore will make everyone jump on the beds.

Also, the newfangled device does not like finely ground coffee. I got tired of washing the small holes of the horn every time, they are constantly clogged with coffee and do not let water through.

Perhaps one of our family is completely satisfied with the coffee machine - this is the spouse. My wife said that she was a humanist and would not be able to use such complex equipment, so I deal with the “hellish” machine in the mornings... I manage. She comes out, yawning, at the ready-made invigorating drink, pokes a spoon into the foam cap, wondering where her heart is, and threatens to buy me a pitcher. Don't ask me what is it?
