1 way

For example, the task is to cut off glass with a thickness of up to 4 mm. Tempered glass is not suitable.

First, fill a deep container with water. It can be a basin or a bath. Water prevents cracking. Put on gloves and take glass. Dip it into the water and use scissors to start chipping off pieces. Can be cut from a circle to more complex shapes.

2 way

You can cut with a file. It doesn't have to be round. Better to take a file with corners. We carry out with effort the angle of the file along the line. There should be a clear scratch like a glass cutter.

Then the glass breaks, placing matches on 2 sides under the cut.

3 way

Diamond disc. It is worth working carefully. Glass can be easily chipped. For cutting you need a grinder or a drill. Prepare the same diamond disc (0.1 mm).

Transfer the glass to a stable surface to prevent slipping and slide the disc to create a small indentation. It is better to moisten the cut line with water. The scratch should be like when working with a glass cutter. Then break off the glass.

4 way

Not a quick way to cut glass. The soldering iron is suitable for shape cutting and will help you cut in a straight line. Make a notch with a file from the edge of the glass. Step back from the scratch two millimeters on the marked line. Take a soldering iron and heat the glass. A microcrack is formed. Then the work is repeated.

5 way

You will need a special winder drill. We make a deep scratch with a drill.

Make sure the drill bit touches the glass at a sharp angle before starting work. Then the glass breaks along the line.
