Scientists working at the Ural Federal University put forward the theory that in the cloud layers of Venus, in special layers of the water-foam structure, life in the form of microorganisms may well exist. That's about this unusual version and we'll talk today in this material.

Life on Venus may still be present, though in the form of microorganisms

There are opinions that many hundreds of millions of years ago, life existed on Venus - the second planet from the Sun in our system. But as the atmosphere began to warm up and reached a critical temperature, all the moisture from the surface of Venus turned into steam, forming clouds 20-25 kilometers thick.

At the moment, the conditions on the surface of the planet are such that not a single terrestrial life form is simply unable to survive there, since the temperature at the surface reaches an incredible 470 degrees Celsius, and the pressure at the same time is 90 atmospheres.

But experts believe that extremophilic microorganisms that can withstand temperatures above one hundred degrees Celsius may well live in the clouds of Venus.

Scientists suggest that as soon as the surface temperature of Venus reached 100 degrees, together with the evaporating the volume of water in steam flows into clouds could well have raised both viable microorganisms and various disputes.

There is also an assumption that microorganisms in the clouds of Venus were able to occupy a really unusual niche in the so-called liquid phase, where the redistribution of nutrients necessary for living organisms is carried out with maximum efficiency cells.

A new Russian mission to study Venus can help refute or, conversely, confirm this theory of Russian scientists. And the first spacecraft "Venera-D" should go to the planet in the coming years.

Well, the theory is really interesting and, despite its exoticism, it may well turn out to be true. Therefore, we will look forward to the dispatch and start of work of the Russian station Venera-D.
