Unexpectedly, many established opinions about seasonal work turn out to be misconceptions. In preparation for writing this article, I realized how many stereotypes govern us.
It is believed that many repairs are best done in the summer. But you start to understand and you see that everything is not so categorical. There are almost always alternatives. Technology does not stand still. There are nuances that not everyone is even aware of.
In the article we will talk about the work that many try to do in the summer, but doing so is not at all necessary.
1. Replacing radiators
It seems logical, as long as it's warm outside, the heating is turned off, it's time to change the radiators. But in fact, the coolant remains in the pipes even for the summer, and you cannot do without draining it. You will still have to contact the management company for this.
If shut-off valves are installed on the radiators, you can replace the batteries at any time of the year without turning off the heat to the entire riser. Changing the radiator in winter in such a situation is even better. You can immediately check the quality of work and correct if something went wrong.
And if you don’t have shut-off valves on your radiators, it’s best to install them as soon as possible. For example, when draining the coolant to flush the heating system.
