I no longer suffer from rust! A simple trick that helped to quickly eliminate rust (inexpensive and for a long time)
How to quickly, efficiently and inexpensively remove rust from metal?
Metal oxidation, popularly called rust, is an inevitable process. Even if you protect the necessary elements and items with special means, store them correctly, do not allow contact with moisture, anyway, sooner or later, you will have to face this unpleasant process. At the same time, there are many ways to get rid of rust - ranging from folk, and ending with various chemical agents. For myself, I have long chosen one very simple and fast method. Rust is removed completely and permanently. Yes, and messing around is minimal, and time in our time is the most expensive resource.
What do we need
In order to remove rust, I use one old folk remedy. We will need:
- large bowl or saucepan;
- water;
- lemon acid;
- sandpaper.
In the process, I advise you to use rubberized gloves so as not to spoil the skin of your hands. Especially in the process of digestion of metal.
Process
For example, I will show you the whole process on an old rusty metal ruler. Since I have been using it for a long time and constantly, this is how, unfortunately, it looks. Due to rust, no numbers or divisions are practically visible. And those who use rulers all the time know that it is the metal version that shows more accurately than the plastic or wooden one.
Boil water, add citric acid. You don't need much water if you are cleaning a flat part. And for about one glass, 1 tbsp is enough. l. powder.
Immerse the ruler in the boiling solution. For me it was the largest and widest bowl, of course, it is advisable to select the dishes according to the size of the parts that you need to clean.
Almost immediately it will be seen how black flakes begin to move away from the metal in the water.
We boil our rusty thing in a boiling solution. In just a couple of minutes, you can already see the result of the work. The ruler had to be moved several times to boil along the entire length. With small and compact parts, everything will happen even faster.
And at the end we process our ruler with sandpaper on both sides.
After the entire surface is well boiled and treated with sandpaper, simply wipe the ruler with a cotton cloth or rag.
Result
Perfectly clean, without dirt and rust, the ruler is ready!
Not only the surface itself sparkles, but all the numbers and divisions. And your much-needed metal thing will please you for a long, long time.
