It is known that the Colorado potato beetle - the worst enemy of the potato and other Solanaceae. These plants insects find the smell during the summer. If you see at least one of the Colorado potato beetle in their plantings of potatoes and eggplant, just use protection against insects. It is better to use folk remedies and safe for the human body.

How to prepare a solution

The solution is made on the basis of birch tar. This tool is sold in drug stores and gardening stores. Birch tar well masks the smell of the plants, which tend these insects. In water, the tar dissolves poorly, he will score all the nozzles in the spray bottle. Therefore it is better to dissolve it in a liquid soap, the latter will perform the role of adhesive solution to the leaves.

Required capacity where needed to dissolve 2 tbsp. spoon liquid soap and 1 tbsp. spoon of tar. It is necessary to stir the mixture well. Then add half a cup of water and stir again.

Birch tar should be readily soluble, so it can be used for spraying plants.

The resulting mixture should be poured into 3 liters of water. Again all thoroughly mixed and sprayed plant.

Typically, such treatment lasts for 10 days and depends on weather conditions. If you notice a new Colorado beetles, need to repeat the process on the basis of birch tar. You should also check the plant on the reverse side of the sheet in the presence of eggs. If they are, the leaves should be removed from the eggs. And only then sprinkle potatoes or eggplants solution.
