Why shrink currant bushes? Control measures
Why shrink the bushes of black, red currant? In the spring they are still blooming and the leaves are green, and then begin to dry twigs. Bush looks oppressed. For no apparent reason at all shrubs wither.

Roots currant love to feast on the larvae of the May beetle. One adult specimen beetle lays 25 to 30 eggs at a time. Hatched larvae gnaw the roots and the bark on the plants, which leads to the death of a bush.
Another reason - moles. They make tunnels under the ground, that infringe the root system of plants. As a result, the roots stop feeding the plant.
Another reason - damage to the bush pests: aphids, currant ticks, ants, sesiidae. Last eats core branches, which leads to shrinkage of the plant. Mite destroys the buds and leaves. Ants breed aphids.

Aphids from the invasion of the ash try with soap solution (1 cup of ash per 10 liters of water) and spray the plant.

After processing, the bush should be cut shrunken branches and burn them. Do not forget to water the bushes during the prolonged drought.
