Safe and uninterrupted power supply of the country house

This article will be considered an option to ensure safe and uninterrupted supply of the country house, which was implemented by us in part of the work performed on the overhaul of a country holiday home in the Mytishchi district, Moscow region (previous reports here, here and here).

The task: ensure safe and uninterrupted supply of wooden holiday home, including:

- complete replacement of the existing electrical wiring;
- arrangement of the grounding circuit;
- Installation of the generator set;
- assembly of distribution electrical switchboards;
- Installation of network protection devices (RCDs, protection relays, the gas station).

Progress of works: To begin, it should be noted that, as in most suburban towns of the Moscow region, the property became no exception in terms of unstable electricity, namely to frequent voltage spikes, in both large and a smaller part, as well as the external periodic outages voltage.

To understand with the help of which you can correct this situation, the main problem of the regular power supply were divided into groups. Total, in this case:

- the characteristics of electric current may abruptly increase or decrease, including in within dangerous for normal operation as the electrical wiring as a whole, and household appliances in particular;
- supply external electricity periodically disappears completely for a period of several hours to 1 day.

To solve these problems of power supply, as agreed with the customer, it was decided to equip the network security system, including backup power supply (genset assembly) and assembly safety devices installed inside the distributor electrical panel. Consider a system to ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply to the country house more.

Naturally, the problem of short-circuit, current leakage, overheating of wiring decide correctly picked-section cables, circuit breakers (AZS) and the RCD, which have been mounted at the distribution switch board assembly. But the current characteristics of the problem of monitoring was proposed to solve the installation of multifunction relay (on these devices, we have been told here. Cm. pictured below), the controlling parameters amperage, voltage, and also shows the instantaneous power consumption (i.e., online mode).

The meaning of the multifunction network protection relay is as follows: when setting up this unit are set upper and lower limits of the current strength and voltage above which the switch shuts off the electric current to the recovery of exceeded parameters specified when setting values. And, as already noted, this unit shows the power consumption of all electrical appliances, connected to the network, making it easy to monitor with a dedicated power restrictions on cottage section. In principle, the subject of the external power supply system is in a jump mode, the above devices is sufficient for ensure the safe operation of household appliances, but there are cases when the voltage supplied to the country house has a permanent underestimated characteristics. Then, this system makes sense to extend the stabilizer mounting (on this subject, at the request of the customer, this unit will also be installed in the New Year's holidays).

With jumps of current parameters sorted out, we go further. The second problem that had to solve - this periodic shutoff of electricity including of suitable length. Here the classical solution has been used - installation of generator set matched by the total capacity of the main consumers. In this case, the customer has selected genset SKAT with integrated control unit. Those. generator unit automatic start is already in progress in the housing assembly with a generator set. We still recommend that generators with a remote control unit that can be placed inside the house, but he chose to customer an integral control unit. This generator set has been successfully installed, performed commissioning. As the control unit will behave in our climate will experiment, but, by the way, to date, no no problems.
