Roma begging to sell their old pillows. Why do they need it?

Today in our small and quiet village there was a loud event - we have visited Roma. And loud, literally, almost every yard of annoying rattle could be heard and swearing. My home is also not spared, but I had already met them at the gate, not letting even the yard. A few minutes of heated debate with restless gypsy - she gave up and quickly dragged to a nearby house, dragging the child in his arms and loudly cursing me... But here's what surprised me - she begged my old pillows. What for?

The neighbor answered my question

A few minutes later we were standing with a neighbor near our house (he, too, was able to quickly rid of the gypsy) and discussed these things event. And, as it turned out, the Roma really are buying old pillows and resell down, earning a lot of money. But this is just an excuse to enter your home, but already there is a trick - or steal everything that is bad, while the owner was distracted, or the owner himself gives his savings, believing in all sorts of gypsy prophecy.

Roma people consider the second (or even third) class, but that's what they did not take, so it is their skill of persuasion. They perfectly guess the different facts about people just by looking at their house and noticing all sorts of stuff - and it works perfectly with the village people.

A couple of years ago, such a gypsy stole the entire pension an elderly woman, saying from the doorway that her curse forever. And got to the point - a woman's three grown children, but they come to see her once a year, or even less. As a result, she gave a gypsy all my money to remove the curse, and then told us that every word was a gypsy about her and very precisely, as if she really saw her fate. Children are more likely to come did not, but that woman and now believes in the words of the gypsy and does not want to admit that it just fooled ...
