What makes cheap doors?

• Chipboard - wood chips, resin-bonded. Heavy, but durable material.
• Masonite - slabs of wax mixture, wood and resilient materials. Doors made of it hollow. Therefore, brittle and with poor sound insulation.
• MDF - a plate of very fine sawdust, sealed with paraffin. The most environmentally friendly of all. Too fragile, if a thin layer.

But I, as a consumer, did not care what is in the door. If I chose a solid wood or particle board, then there would be a reason to think. Feels MDF liked more. And his chosen. But I was more interested in appearance of the door. And it depends on the coating.

• PVC film. She may look cute, but may unnatural and tasteless. And I often met the second. I think the doors in PVC film look cheap. Judging by the doors in public places, such a film with time obsharpyvaetsya, fades, comes unstuck at the joints.
• Veneer. This is when the web, for example, from chipboard covered with a thin (3 mm) layer of natural wood. We were on such an old apartment. And they are after 5 years of use were yellow. Consultants in the stores say that it depends on the quality of the veneer. Some manufacturers cover it with special compounds that retain the original appearance. But these doors are already more expensive.

• Vinyl flooring. This thick film. Happens matte or glossy. Usually monophonic. It is more durable than PVC, and looks expensive. In the new apartment we have chosen this option.

Vinyl - how it behaves in the home

We use doors with vinyl covering almost a year. Color Select White. Yes, they get dirty over time. But I wipe the film with a damp cloth and detergent. And the door again become pure. Material from this does not deteriorate. So far I am satisfied with the quality of the door.

Is it always appropriate fashion cashing

The appearance of the door not only affect materials. It turns out, cashing can also be installed in several ways. Boards are connected at 45 degrees or below 90. We did not warn the installer. And did as fashionable, and probably easier for him. But we have the cash with panels. The result was some mess.

We noticed immediately. And signed all the documents. And then we realized that we irritate our doors. Call the salon and asked to convert. Manager politely directed us to negotiate with the master. He said that we have not made the reservation as we need to, and refused to alter.

We again called the master, he agreed to change, but the materials are asked to pay for itself. Or write a complaint to the store. We wrote a complaint. A week later, the installer came with his material and all remade.
