Bi-metal blade for band saw. Should we expect miracles
Quite often I come across a video on YouTube, which focuses on the bimetal blades for band saws. After watching these videos, I had the impression that after such a fabric can be slightly abraded parts and immediately collect the product.
There was a natural desire to try a cloth in the case. And recently I bought this.
I took steps 6 TPI - 6 teeth per inch, 13 mm wide.
Put I tried to cut. First take the log out of Manchurian walnut, sawed off a few pieces, enjoyed saws well.
Next three sawed oak boards. Cut length of about 4 meters, and the saw was sidetrack when sawing on the abutment.
Emphasis tuned... it seemed normal, but still cut the line deviated.
This particular board finished without stops along the line.
And I get this result here.
Not to say that the smooth surface, but I think you can align belt sanders, if you try. Again I sawed through and slight variations are unavoidable.
The focus is still set up, but it had to tighten on a fairly large angle.
I checked on a little pruning. Saws normally without deviation.
Further I decided to cut a thin strip of - about 1.5 mm.
Saw off turned out okay, thickness rather smoothly, but the marks of a saw noticeable good.
For greater clarity, I suggest to see a small video clip.
Its somewhat illusory idea of a bimetallic saw blade, I blew away. I can say that this is the normal operating band, and some should not expect miracles from it.
