Which is better, screws or nails? Practice construction showed my pros and cons.
As the compound is as important as the quality of the materials themselves. And it depends on many factors.
Honestly before construction even started, I did not think about the fasteners, or rather did not attach much importance to them (perhaps it is a mistake all newbies).
And just try all, in fact I really feel and realize the importance of this component of the entire construction site.
- And from a practical point of view.

- And from the financial side.
In general, the concept fixture can include many elements, but today I want to talk about the two most common and understandable to all:
Nails and screws.
✅ Even in my house, where the wood, only the roof, I already worked with that and with other fasteners. And the idea of them, which I had before the start of work changed during practice.
1️⃣ Convenience and practicality.
This is one of the most important factors, especially in my case, when you do all alone.
At first glance, the layman, tighten screw using the screwdriver, much easier and faster than nailing nails old fashioned way. Otherwise, why all the tools invented?
All it is, sitting at the table, when all handy and convenient.
But in actual practice, things are not so simple:
✔ When you sit at 6 meters above the ground, you need to follow this screwdriver so that it did not fly down.
✔ Small and thin twist easily, and to drive the screw 100 mm, it is necessary to make an effort. And when you need to do it at arm's length? Yes bit begins to slip, screw grinds and all ...

All of these seemingly little things on a large scale creates many difficulties.
❗ The only thing, in my opinion, the convenience, which gives the screw - a Initial hardware. When you hold a hand piece, and the other is necessary to fix it. Here the hammer will not help.
And the rest, hammer nails, I felt much more comfortable.

2️⃣ reliability.
This is where a lot of questions.
All my life I thought that the reliability of the screw there is nothing, but my building to show others. Specific example:

On the first day of work, I put on a 100 self-tapping screws, and came to the next, found that multiple racks backward from the rafters and hung one bolt. Screws just burst.
