As I built the house. Roof.

I continue the story of its construction.

So the 30th of June I finished outer skin, and by 7 July and made the rafters for the roof batten.

As I wrote earlier of the old roof of the main house and one annex I decided to leave. The task was to hang on the old roof, new walls and make another section of the roof completely. The new site was based on the old roof and rafters about halfway there turned out to 5 meters. This part can be seen in the photo above.

Old roof I had to extend about one meter, that is only one truss leg. In the photo below you can see how to connect the roof.

Also, I once sewed up the gable.

For the suspension of the roof and ceiling beams as I used 50h150 mm board is actually to the rafters. The old roof on the gable at the bottom of the beam was the full width of the beam and under I let the street wall and ceiling beams.

These beams on the one hand rested on a new wall, and on the other I punched them in the main house logs. Along the length they receive about 3.7 meters.

First, I put the beam through 1.2 meters, and then added into the gap for another. This dimension was taken based on the width of the insulation.

I later measured the slope was 3 cm in the middle of the line of the wall. That is on top of the wall got a long arc of 11 meters with a bending of 3 cm. Fix did not work because it is found in the manufacture of ceiling.

That such a geometry. And by the way on the geometry... in the year following its construction, I was called to help make another roof familiar, so there is a geometry out funny situation.
