Simple joiner yews to the bench with his hands
These yews I did for her universal workbench. But despite the fact that they are mostly made of wood, are these yews for several years and perform their task.
The design of such a simple yews.
Of metal parts using threaded rod, nut to it and several screws. I used a M16 threaded stud.
Nut fixed directly to the workbench.
I pasted on epoxy and pressed plywood piece with the screw hole. Plywood screwed screws, and she's here for greater reliability.
Fixing handle for yew, and the threaded rod is made of solid wood. I used beech, but can be applied to other hardwoods.
At this bar, I pasted two discs of 6 mm plywood. These circles I cut drill "Ballerina" (See on this drill can be sharpened here.)
In this bar two perpendicular holes were drilled. One for the handle, the second was glued on with epoxy threaded rod.
In the mobile jaw in the middle made a hole for the pin and the outer disk of plywood.
A pair of plywood pieces allowed to fix the screw to the movable jaw yew trees, so that it can be rotated.
On both sides of the screw in the two movable jaw guides of wood were glued.
Its function, these yews perform well. In manufacturing, they are simple. In this design it is certainly room for improvement and it is likely I will be updating them soon.
The following publications plan to share other options makeshift carpentry yews.
