In fact, this is a special area for the router, which can be used to make holes for dowels with high accuracy, as well as milled grooves.

On this site on both sides of the cutter is made of a pair of holes for the limiting pins. These holes are made in increments of 32 mm. That is, the distance between centers is 32 mm, including the center of the cutter.

These holes should be strictly vertical, to ensure drilling accuracy. Therefore, it is desirable to do them on a drill press.

In the absence of the drilling machine, you can use the router itself. I did so when I was producing the first version of the site.

On the new site, I dealt a grid of lines including the edges. At the site of the router I also painted two lines at right angles to the intersection of the center of the cutter. New site stuck to the router on the double-sided tape so that the line markings match the markings on the Fraser. A hole is then drilled. It turned out exactly in the crosshairs and vertically.
