How easily and quickly sharpen old stamestku: a tool with their own hands - a review

Probably, many remember the lessons of labor in school when you had to make a stool or something like wood. We used a variety of tools, including chisels, which were not always sharp.

In this review, I want to introduce you to a simple invention, which can be made with your own hands.

Every carpenter for sharpening such tool like a chisel using different methods. Someone is doing manually using a grindstone, somebody on the machine.

So today I'll augmentation analysis for gouges, which according to the author can help to sharpen correctly and accurately tool.

As mentioned above, for sharpening chisels carpenters use different methods. Someone uses the grindstone and do it by hand, and someone hones tool on the machine. In any event, determine the sharpening angle master "approximately", and tool then can quickly blunt.

The author proposed a version of how to accelerate the process of sharpening manually while retaining the "right" angle of sharpening.

The same "idea" has long been adopted by some manufacturers and put into mass production of identical devices. The idea is not new, so only 1 point.

For the manufacture of a supplement to chisel the author took unequal angles, which on the one hand screwed metal plate of the same size.

On the other hand it is cut at a few centimeters from each end of the shelf, and to the remaining middle portion of the pin welded to nuts. Next to the pin on each side put on a small bearing and fix their nuts.

To set the chisel in this device, you must unscrew the plate, insert a chisel by a comfortable position for sharpening, and tighten the nuts. Next, the whole structure need to drive on the whetstone, achieving the desired sharpness of the tool.

At the moment, the market there are practically identical analogues given augmentation for a chisel, the average cost from 500 rubles. But if you rarely use and make sharpened chisels, the invention of the author could easily be used as an economy version.
