Waste-free production. As I did overlap without unnecessary trimmings.
Use building materials as much as possible - this is one of the main tasks on any construction site. Normally, all this is taken into account at the design stage, but what if you samostroyschik, and your project in your head.
That's how I deal with it.
Since my building - this is my first experience on the issue of rational use of materials, I thought already in the process. The largest associated with this stage - it is aerated concrete masonry.
Many of my readers have told me that it was necessary to make the layout in advance, then managed to avoid minor scraps and inaccuracies.
But nowhere it has been nowhere ...
❗ But when it came time for closing, I decided not to rush.
Option, which I did, probably not ideal. And do not perceive it as an example to copy.
Rather - an example of how to get out of the situation.
Approximately the overlap scheme is in my house. It does not close the whole flight.
✅ 5.4 and 3.4 meters - the size of the beams, which in theory would have to be put.
- But in this case by 5.4 meters would remain a lot of small scraps.
- A 3.4 meter generally from 6 meter boards only one piece out. And what to do with the remains of a huge - is unknown.
I acted in the following sequence.
1️⃣ first I packed six-meter board's way.
It turned out that half hung in the air.
2️⃣ then I put this span.
It turns out to 6 meter boards on I still trim 2.6 meters. Here I put them in a space on a long flight. But since there was not enough just 200 mm, then I joined through a reinforced beam made of two planks and spacers.
This beam ends fixedly mounted on the walls and in the middle of the column will still be 150 to 150 bar. So what about the strength you can not worry.
❗ As a result, even a centimeter of lumber is not lost in vain.
Here's a version I did.
