Wooden leaf stencils for children with their own hands
Recently, in one online store of children's toys, I came across an interesting idea. Namely wooden stencils geometrical figures, animals, fruits, and so forth. Simple, but at the same time a very useful product for children. For the youngest children are the stencils will be a good educational toys that will not only help develop fine motor skills, but also to prepare the hand to the letter. And for children older wooden cliches you can think of a lot of exciting games that help the child to show their creativity. For example, you can ask your child to circle the stencils on the cardboard, cut figurines, color them in and make them festive garland hanging toys or postcard. In general applications, the wooden stencils very much and it all depends on the child's imagination.
My little daughter liked the stencils and the leaves of the trees, I decided to make their own hands, and since my passion is sawing on Jigsaw machine for me it will not be difficult. My daughter and I began to choose the leaves that have an interesting shape and our choice fell on the leaves of maple, oak, chestnut and birch.
The first step was to create a template for cutting. In Photoshop on an A4 sheet of 4 I drew a rectangle with rounded corners, and each of them put the stencils needed leaves are found on the Internet. The average size of each leaf turned somewhere 10 7 cm.
Then I print out the template and in pencil middle of painting leaves the legs, making them wider, make them stronger.
When the template has been fully prepared, I glued it on the plywood thickness of 4 mm and each sheet of drilled hole to be able to thread the nail file. I did drill hole 1 mm in diameter straight line leaflet contour.
After all the preparatory stages, I started cutting out stencils on the jig machine. I use for cutting by sawing NIQUA producer. Here are a few photos of sawing process.
To cut stencils it was very simple, and the work does not take a lot of time. When the leaves were prepared, my daughter was delighted and immediately began to engage in creative work. These simple, at first glance, toys dragged it not for one day, and it was obvious that the child is really interesting, so I will do for her many other wooden stencils that will share with you the following article.
