How quickly put the drawing on plywood? sawing jigsaw
Greetings to all who are fond of sawing jigsaw. In today's article I would like to share with you how the application drawing on plywood or board, which enjoys itself in the manufacture of its products. There are quite a few ways to fix the image on the workpiece, but I settled on four variants, with which you can quickly apply the drawing. I'll tell you in detail about each of them, and if all of a sudden you will not understand something, in the end you can see the video "How to put the drawing on the plywood"Where everything is clearly demonstrated. So, let's begin.
1. Drawing drawing using PVA adhesive.
This method is probably one of the fastest and cheapest. We simply glue drawing on plywood, wait 5 minutes, so that the glue has dried up and all, we can start cutting. However, such a method of applying a pattern on the workpiece has its drawbacks.
Once you saw out the product and remove the paper, it may be difficult to sand. Places where a dried adhesive remains with the remnants of paper, it would be difficult to grind and it may take a lot of time to spare. Therefore, if you attach a drawing with glue, try not to put it across the drawing area, and around lines (just outside of the figure) and apply literally a drop of glue on the internal components, which will be sawed.
2. Drawing fix with adhesive tape.
A quick way to fix the image on the plywood. Drawing securely and after removing the paper, there are no problems with polishing. Secure the pattern with adhesive tape is very simple - putting a figure to the plywood and fasten the top adhesive tape, so that the adhesive tape and glued to the drawing, and the surface of the plywood (boards) outside paper. But the usual tape is not suitable for all occasions.
I use it only when the image has no internal circuits that need to cut, such as the silhouette of the animal. If you are secure with adhesive tape pattern with some internal patterns, when sawing the elements can break off and drawing the design will be broken, that will complicate your work.
3. Anchoring drawing sided adhesive tape.
One of the most convenient ways for application drawing on plywood - it secure it using double-sided tape. Unlike glue, double sided tape can be easily removed and leaves no traces on the surface of the plywood (boards), and in contrast to the conventional adhesive tape, double sided tape captures the entire drawing surface of the workpiece, so it is well suited for drawings with internal fixation contours.
Outs of double-sided tape is that due to its adhesive backing band saw blades wear out faster and sawing sawdust sit on the cutting line, which is a bit difficult to work.
4. Use masking tape and glue stick.
This option is probably the best. Glue for plywood masking tape and apply the adhesive, and then fix the top template. In contrast to the double-sided tape, masking tape adhesive base is not as sticky and therefore saws will last longer.
Remove the masking tape from the workpiece as quickly and simply. The disadvantage of this method is only in the fact that it is quite expensive.
Even for the application of the template to the workpiece of interest, there are two ways: self-adhesive paper A4 and adhesive spray, but I have not yet experienced.
