3️⃣ When installing the unit, glue is noticeably squeezed out around the edges, from which one can judge the good filling seam.

A thickness of the seam is almost not changed, according definitely not least noticeable to the eye. A potential of a millimeter, I think, in the heat in the house will not be affected particularly.
