Weather is an integral part of any construction that needs to be taken into account and adjust to it.

After his releaseWhen the nature of the sun blessed me for two weeks, and I continued the construction of peace, rainy days of steel, at least, unpleasant. Now it had to adjust to it in its work.

Waiting for good weather can last. 🙄

In my view, such a position is not entirely true, the wait can be very long, and the perfect moment rarely.

It is true that for each process needs its own weather. But to understand this is not always possible at the level of theory.

Therefore, for the beginner in construction, everything is learned through practice.

That's how I'm one rainy day decided to try the masonry blocks.

Of course, I did not wait until it starts to rain, to get started. Just so happened... The day was not clear, but I decided to continue the construction of the walls, without thinking about the consequences.

Before this rain a couple of days walking intermittently, so blocks were soaked enough. As soon as I kneaded the glue began to lay the next row, and again it began to rain.

Of course there is a recommendation to wet the blocks before applying the glue. But when so much water... There are only problems. 😩

The first thing that there is - it is unit weight. Of course it's more due to previous rain, but still noticeable in the work.

When excess moisture aerated concrete, glue simply slides over the surface of the block, and apply it evenly is very problematic.

In addition, the mixture was continuously diluted in a bucket of rain, which is also undesirable.

And anyway, I realized that the kneading bucket full - it's a bad idea. As a result, half had to throw.

⚠ Safety at Work.

On the front row this may not matter, but rising above the danger level of work increases. A wet and slippery surfaces, which have to be moved, just add extreme.

😪 No pleasure.

This applies to samostroyschikam like me. Of course if you really need and deadlines are too tight, you can all suffer, but for myself, I have decided that building a house alone, rush to the good will not. So unjustified laying in the rain, too, is not for me.

But the quality is not affected. 👍

Yet I mastered a dozen blocks in such conditions. Then all I decided to postpone. But the next day checking out the consequences, do not worry, I have not discovered. Blocks were, glue hardens, as usual ...

So, I think, with moderate rain, and the urgent need can continue laying aerated. But in the case of private samostroya - it unreasonable effort. And in bad weather, you can find a different story on the same construction site, for which up to this time was not.
