Choosing materials

Lay linoleum directly on rough boards - money down the drain. Even on expensive high-quality coating in 2-3 years stripes appear on the lower boards. Therefore, the substrate need.

Plates 9 mm thickness is more than enough. If there are local differences of about a centimeter, it is better to increase the thickness to 12 mm. In more complex situations, you should consider replacing or planing boards.

Stela substrate

OSB plates decompose across planks. Usually it is in the width of the room. This distance turns out to close the two sheets.

The first sheet is placed so that its free edge is in the middle of the board. If the joint reaches the edge of the plate clipped the wall and just displace it. Thanks to this flat and joints are obtained in the same plane.
