What types of permanent formwork?
We are all accustomed to permanent formwork of polystyrene foamBy which built ground floor and even high-rise buildings, but harmful polystyrene discourages many builders, so the market offers and other building materials for the construction of nonremovable formwork.
Here are the main substitutes for polystyrene:
-
Lightweight aggregate blocks (or keramzitobloki).
In appearance they are very similar to the cinder blocks, but can also be used as permanent formwork: from keramzitoblokov erected two walls, between which the cavity and then laid fittings and poured concrete. It's wild, terrible, a nightmare expensive way of arrangement of permanent formwork, but some reason it is used. - Steklomagnezitovye plate (LSU-plate). This material consisting of wood chips, magnesium chloride, magnesium oxide, glass fibers and perlite. SML-boards are very light and easy to install, so often used for arranging permanent formwork.
- Arbolit - a mixture of cement and wood chips, having a high heat capacity. Arbolit formed into blocks, and then reinforced and filled with concrete.
Permanent shuttering also equips waterproof plywood, DSP, and even of a flat slate. But these walls themselves will be very cold, and will require additional insulation.
