The quarantine week has begun. Everything seems to be good. The state takes care of us. Some were sent on paid leave. Others were transferred to remote work. We created all the conditions so that it was not boring to rest at home. The problem came from where it was not expected.

What self-isolated in the regions faced

Following the example of the capital, the regions began to isolate themselves. Office employees switched to remote work. But, as it turned out, an apartment is not the best place for productive work. It's not even about being distracted by household chores. The stumbling block was the eternal nightmare - renovation.

At first, Nobody canceled scheduled repairs in apartments. Previously, not everyone noticed builders. After all, they drill and drill while the bulk of people are at work.

Secondly, repairs were started even by those who had planned it for a long time and collected their thoughts. Kicked out at work on vacation at their own expense. Isn't there a reason to renovate the house on your own?

It turned out that there were many people around with different specifics of work. Some need to groove and hammer. Others - to conduct negotiations and scrupulously (preferably in silence) draw up documents.

The result of such a neighborhood is an additional nerve and running around the floors shouting: "how much is possible", "when all this is over", "stop making noise."

How to get out of the situation?

Let's start with the fact that the law is on the side of the builders. They make noise on their working day and have every right to do so. But I think it's better to look for compromises. It will be better for everyone if builders and tenants make concessions to each other.

Builders plan the work so as not to stretch noisy processes for the whole day. For example, they immediately fixed all the profile guides to the walls, and then began to relatively quietly assemble the frame and sew it up with plasterboard.

If there are several objects, this week you can take up those where the paint brushes remained, and then return to the rough work.

Residents (self-isolated, remote workers) coordinate the time of work and rest with the builders. It is enough to get together (write in chat) to the entire entrance and decide when we make noise and when we arrange a “quiet hour”.

When the tenants are hysterical and knock on the door of the apartment, where the renovation is taking place, screaming, work does not progress faster. Please be patient.
