Why is the well not working? I answer the most common questions
In this useful material, I tried to summarize the vast experience of well breakdowns in the "fault-cause-action" format. The article will be useful to everyone who uses wells, so do not forget to save it in your Odnoklassniki!
So let's go!
1. The pump is stuck in the well.
Cause: the pump was installed with an error in the calculation of the water surface and bottom.
Solution: we lower the end of the supply hose from which water flows in a loop to the bottom of the well, turn on the pump and with long, smooth movements try to pull the pump by the cable and (or) the hose.
2. The well produces dirty water.
Most likely:
1) the filter began to pass large particles due to the fistula;
2) the pump washed the crushed stone from the bottom of the water intake part of the well;
Solution: cleaning with water hammer, bailer or mine way of cleaning the well with a bottle with adding gravel to the bottom.
If the situation repeats, the filter is damaged.
3. Water runs out quickly, debit dropped
The reason is the silting up of the water intake part of the well.
Solution: cleaning the well with a citric acid solution (5 kg of acid per 75 liters of water, keep it for a day), or geloning.
4. The pump pumps water in a weak stream
There are two probable reasons: low voltage in the network (an ordinary multimeter or voltage tester will come to the rescue), the second reason is that the pump motor is worn out. Used a vibrator - rubber valves could break. The solution is to buy a new pump.
