A stove for a garage or shed from old car rims
Many of you, just like me before, have unnecessary car disks lying around in the country, in the barn or on the balcony. Over the years you have changed the car, and they have remained idle. I propose to put things in order a little and make a simple stove out of them, which, if necessary, will warm the garage or shed.
Clause
I’ll tell the caustic commentators right away that it’s better not to use this stove as a permanent heating device, but to warm up a garage or a shed during important work, this is the very thing!
Actually, this is how our unit will look finally:
It makes sense to cover the stove with black heat-resistant paint to get rid of corrosion and give it a beautiful appearance.
What is required?
Only three old discs, 50-70 cm pipe, steel wire and sheet metal (the thicker the better):
Next steps:
The first step is to weld a container for coal and ash from sheet iron: it is better to make solid front wallso that it fits snugly against the body. She will be our blower.
We weld the lower part of the stove: do not be lazy and make a grate of steel rods on its upper part: through it, ash will crumble and not interfere with the burning of firewood.
Then we remove the chamfers from the disks and weld them into a single vertical system, drill a hole in the top cover with a milling cutter and install a vertical pipe inside.
It will function as a chimney.
But the oven cannot be complete without a closing door. If it is not foreseen, then all the heat will instantly go into the room, like the smoke. But it would be good for him to fly away through the chimney ...
We cook a door with a bolt:
And now that our entire structure is assembled, it can be painted. My wife advised me to paint it red - it’s more noticeable, but I chose black heat-resistant paint. I think it will do.
What do you think?
- Will heat-resistant paint fly around for 500 rubles / can?
- How long will such a stove give warmth in the garage?
Well, don't forget to like your Russian construction ingenuity!
