Why the attic is the best place to germinate seedlings, and why no one knows about it
Hello everyone! Where do you grow your seedlings? Surely, in your house, all the windowsills and some of the tables have been filled with trays, pots, cans and cans of sour cream WITH YOUNG SEEDS for several weeks. Is that so?
Seedlings in the house, on the one hand, are convenient - always in sight, can be watered, rearranged to a more sunny place. On the other hand, if you need to open a window for airing (you do not have ventilation valves, which I wrote about), then you will have to remove all the seedlings from the windowsill - it's difficult.
Why not move the seedlings to the attic?
After all, there are a lot of advantages:
- a lot of warmth - you can't even imagine how many kilocalories of heat energy the lower floors of your house emit, and all the heat goes upstairs, to the attic!
- proximity to the sun - even going 3-4 meters higher towards the sun will increase the temperature and the amount of sun rays for seedlings;
- big windowswhich can be replaced with cheap polycarbonate.
There is a special remark about windows - even if you do not have the means to install a good plastic window now - sew up the old one with cellular polycarbonate.
This idea was suggested to me by the author of the channel. Samostroy, in which the bathhouse and the greenhouse are one.
Inside view:
Next year, we will definitely use the second floor for growing seedlings, and not the residential first floor - and we will free up space, and the seedlings will come out stronger.
No one realizes that the attic is the best place to grow, but in vain. There is clearly more heat and sun there.
And there is no need to carry the land into the house.
And where (and in what way) do you grow seedlings?
We are testing mini-greenhouses from plastic containers from cakes and pastries, the seedlings are rushing!
