Brazier-feast for the eyes from disks with your own hands

Hello everyone! Surely many of you have repeatedly envied those who have a comfortable picnic area at their summer cottage. Preferably with a fireplace, benches, rock garden, etc.

In this article, I will tell you how to make a concrete ring around the hearth in your summer cottage from inexpensive, or even improvised means.

We need:

  • old car drive. The larger its radius, the better;
  • the remains of natural stone, brick, or purchased stone with a rounding, if the budget allows;
  • shovel, rake, brain :)

First of all, we remove the turf around the place of the future hearth with a shovel, rake it to the compost pit with a rake.

For convenience, you can draw outlines with a red can.

Align the disc in the center of the resulting spot and horizontally. It is advisable to use a bubble construction level gauge.

Now we begin to carefully lay stones around our structure. A small gap of 3-4 centimeters is allowed for the future thermal expansion of the metal.

Helping young people at this stage will not be superfluous!

We fill the space between the stones and the disc with earth or a good sandwich mixture, as well as the bottom of the future fire pit.

The thickness of the filling of the bottom of the hearth- not less than 10 centimeters!
  • skeptics wrote to me that the stones will "shoot" when heated - nothing like that, as long as everything is intact!

Here, it seems, everything is ready!

You can bask by a cozy hearth in the company of your family.
