Anti-insect hunting belt according to the proven old-fashioned method
Instead of spraying, now very often summer residents use trapping belts - they wrap tree trunks with a film, which is subsequently thickly smeared with something sticky, up to garden glue.
This method is a good alternative to spraying the tree with chemicals, because spraying has to be repeated after another rain, and the hunting belt lasts 10-12 days even in dry weather.
I want to give you some advice on how you can extend the life of your fishing belt - in other words, prevent it from drying out quickly.
For this we need:
- agrofibre;
- polyethylene film;
- sticky tape for flies(sold in any hardware store, the issue price is about 40-50 rubles).
The key difference between this method- using not homemade sticky products based on honey or oil, but ready-made tape from the store.
Fishing belt by layers (from the trunk to the surface):
- agrofibre - it is discontinuous and allows the tree to breathe;
- polyethylene film - serves as a continuous layer between agrofiber and sticky layer;
- fly tape - it contains many synthetic substances, due to which the tape can remain sticky for 2-3 months even in the open sun.
Since we protected the bark of the tree from direct contact with the tape, chemicals will not be absorbed into it, and summer residents do not have to worry about the quality of the crop.
Your opinion?
Do you use sticky (trapping) belts to protect fruit trees from pests?
