The easiest way to make a plaster slope
Soon they will forget about plaster slopes. Why do you think: a little more laborious process or the masters just forgot how to make them? But plaster slopes have their own area of application! The junctions can not be sewn up with plastic everywhere. But now is not about that.
I remember about 15 years ago, a master showed me how to quickly plaster a slope. Only recently did his advice come in handy. I am sure the information will be useful to someone else. Go.
The pledge of smooth slopes is two basic planes along which we pull the plaster:
- We form the abutment to the frame starting from the glazing bead, frame or opening sash.
- We form a neat abutment to the wall with a perforated plaster corner.
We set the plaster corner according to the level.
We make a template for tightening the solution. If there is an opening sash next to it, a small rail is suitable for making a template.
We throw plaster mortar on the slope. We tighten the excess with a wooden template. We get a flat plane.
If the window sash is deaf, we make another template from scrap materials. We will press it against the glazing bead (frame) and the lighthouse (plaster corner).
Throw in the solution. We tighten the excess.
When on the same slope there is an opening and a blind sash, be sure to make templates at the same angle. Otherwise, the planes will not converge.
We get the following result.
Fast, and most importantly simple. It remains to pull with putty when the walls are putty and ready.
