DIY lazy garden swing
Friends, hello everyone! You know that for a long time I wanted to buy a garden swing made of metal, but everything was waiting for autumn and the promised discounts in construction. I did not wait for the discounts, I freaked out, and decided to do everything with my own hands.
Since the welder from me is frankly so-so, it was decided to make a swing from a wooden bar - "weaving".
In this article, I will share three important nuances that helped me make a really reliable garden swing.
If you were too lazy to watch the video, I will write an algorithm of actions in writing.
- We dig holes 70 cm deep. We will install vertical supports in them from an oil pipe 5 mm thick. We will make an incision on the pipe so that the concrete penetrates the pipe cavity;
- We install pipes according to the level, make formwork and pour concrete;
- We are waiting for the complete hardening of concrete (3-4 days);
- We weld a U-shaped profile with perforation to the upper part of the posts, install the bars, fastening - self-tapping screws;
- Add transverse bars, fasten them with horizontal corners. Then we paint with paint in two layers.
- We assemble the seat and hang it on chains, choose twisted hooks, they are more durable.
Why is the swing lazy? Because, in principle, I did not use any particularly complex engineering structures and calculations for their construction. Everything is intuitive, simple, and therefore lazy.
