A method that allows you to spend 1 kW of electricity, and get up to 5 kW of heat
Welcome to the channel!
This article is a squeeze of many years of experience in heating country houses in winter with electricity. But as a heating device, in our case, not an ordinary oil radiator, convector or warm floor is used.
We are talking about a heat pump, or an air conditioner in its domestic version.
It just so happened that few people know how many things that have become familiar work. Including air conditioning and refrigerator. Meanwhile, these devices are very similar.
Both use refrigerant - freon No. 32/411/411 "a", etc. - it is enclosed in a radiator and a pipe system. Part of the pipes and the radiator of the heat pump receive the cold from the outside and go inside the room, boiling and releasing heat.
In this case, electricity is consumed only for pumping freon by the compressor. Due to the non-standard physical properties of freon per 1 kilowatt of electricity, the air conditioner can release up to 5 kilowatts of heat.
How the heat pump works:
The second important point.
A specialized heat pump is an expensive device (from 120 thousand rubles), and unnecessary in the conditions of central Russia. Living in the suburbs of Moscow and in neighboring regions, an ordinary air conditioner is enough for you.
In this case, preference should be given to models operating at temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius. In extreme cases, up to -15 degrees. Since the average temperature of the lowest month is -12 degrees, the air conditioner will be enough "for the eyes".
I would like to emphasize that for heating at temperatures below -20 degrees, it is better to have 2-3 convectors in the house. Calculation - 1 kW of heater power for 15 "squares" of the heated area.
People who heat their homes with air conditioning claim more than modest electricity bills: from 3 to 7 thousand rubles for heating houses with an area of 70 to 150 square meters.
