What is Cosmophen and where is it used?
Recently I was poking around on Avito in search of interesting ads (there is such a sin behind me) and came across an advertisement for some "cosmophen". I didn’t know what it was, and the title does not give an answer to my question.
Agree, "Cosmophen" - sounds like some kind of hair dryer for astronauts or the name of a cure for the common cold.
I decided to find out what it is, and was led to the banner of advertisers, and clicked on the ad.
By the way, this is how a space hairdryer might look like if I were a designer:
But in fact, it turned out that the Cosmophen is a narrow-purpose German glue. It is used for gluing only PVC (that is, plastic) products.
It is used mainly by plumbers - for reliable gluing of plastic pipes. In the reviews they write that you can even fill cracked plastic sewer units with a cosmophene, and the element will last another 5-6 years without replacement.
Also, installers of plastic windows like to use cosmophene - it glues more abruptly than sealant, so they glue the joints of windows and external ebbs to it, or they "plant" window slopes and louvered strips on it.
Another name for the cosmophen is liquid plastic. In fact, he is what he is: if you read the composition, then there will be polyvinyl chloride (PVC) - the material from which windows, pipes, gadget cases, furniture and much more are made.
The smallest tube of cosmofen costs 100-110 rubles:
