A truck drove over the Fiskars shovel, and it is intact. Showed a shovel "with experience" 20 years at a construction site
I welcome you categorically!
I reread this article and understand that it came out a little controversial, but its essence is to show people that the old is not always a synonym for good, and the new is not always a synonym for bad. This is partly due to the video above (it will start after the advertisement), partly - my reasoning below.

This is how a person is arranged that he is skeptical about many modern things: we always need time and someone else's good example to understand that something new is trustworthy. And this is normal, because in our time there are so many forgeries and clearly deceptive inventions like the "miracle shovel", "miracle hoe" and everything that is sold on TV.
At one time, we purely accidentally bought a shovel with an unusual shape in a store. She does not have a simple straight stem, like the good old Soviet ones, but curved under the shape of a hand. And it turned out to be so damn convenient that now all the shovels in our farm are just like that.
I do not know who invented this shape of the shovel, but this person certainly did not eat his bread and butter (and perhaps caviar) for nothing.
Simple thought # 1: make a round handle at the end of the shovel (it is convenient to hold and hang);
Simple thought # 2: apply rubber closer to the bayonet - in the place where we grab the shovel with the other hand;
Simple thought number 3: make the handle with a bend to evenly reduce the load on the back.
Everything, more in this shovel there is nothing remarkable, but everything is ingenious and should be simple and obvious.
Left - the very first of the shovels of this design (it has been serving for more than 20 years), it has seen more than others, but the rust did not even take it.
Why am I talking about a simple shovel for so long? Yes, because for many it is still a novelty, which means that people in the old way bend their backs, blow their cheeks and walk past the shovels in the store: "expensive."
In the meantime, this is the case when old does not mean good. And new doesn't mean bad.
