Unusual attachment (cutter) for a drill. An interesting gadget from China!

Today I would like to share with you my recent purchase - unusual cutters (cutters) for a drill, which I ordered from Aliexpress. I have not seen anything like this in our stores, so I ordered them without hesitation.

Now I will tell you a little about the features of this device and what it is intended for, and at the end I will show a small demonstration of its work.

The set of the device includes 7 cutters (cutters) for wood, slightly similar to feather drills. Cutters of various diameters: 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 25 mm and made quite high quality, without any burrs and scratches on the metal.

The set also includes 7 drills with a diameter of 3 mm and a hex wrench designed to fix the cutters.

And the last element is a nozzle, which consists of a holder and a bushing with four locking screws.

The whole device is assembled quite simply. Each drill has a small hole and the incisors have a small ledge.

You need to connect the drill and cutter together so that the protrusion goes into the hole. Thanks to this design, the drill will not rotate during operation.

Then the cutter with the drill is placed in the nozzle, where they are fixed with locking screws. Next, the nozzle is clamped into the drill and that's it, the device is ready to work.

As many might have guessed, these cutters (cutters) are primarily designed to make wooden balls, but they can also be used to drill holes (instead of feather drills). By the way, they drill much faster than feather drills.

To make perfect balls, it is advisable to have a drill stand, since you need to drill at right angles on both sides of the workpiece. As workpieces, you can use any cut of boards with a thickness slightly larger than the diameter of the cutter.

In just 5 minutes I cut out more than a dozen balls, polished them and made a small gift to my wife in the form of a bracelet. Also, wooden balls can be used to make beads, rosary, toys, furniture handles, or as additional elements of products, for example, on hanger hooks.
