Drawings for the manufacture of a filler mill based on a conventional
In previous articles, I talked about a homemade filler mill and gave examples of its use.
And in this article I offer drawings on the basis of which you can make yourself a similar device.
As I mentioned in earlier publications, this is essentially a router platform that allows you to drill holes for fasteners with high precision.
In my case, an inexpensive router was used as a base. DIOLD MEF-1.1.
In this router, I made a slight modification. To make it easier to work with it, I cut the springs of the router a little.
I removed the plastic platform from the router and put a homemade one, which I made from three parts of thin (5.5 mm) MDF.
In my router, the dimension marked as variable is 63 mm. From the edge of the platform to the center of the cutter 55 mm.
These three parts are glued together.
The moving part is manufactured according to the following scheme.
A number of holes are drilled in the site. Central and two holes to the left and right of it.
The 32 mm size is taken because I have been working in the production of cabinet furniture for a long time and somehow got used to the 32 mm step.
In the first version of the device, the limiters were inserted into holes made in the very material of the platform. Later I made metal inserts to fit the restraints.
Both parts of the device are connected to each other with a wing bolt.
You can download the archive with these drawings link.
I also suggest watching a video clip with an overview of this device.
Thanks for reading. I would be glad to have your support in the form of a like and a subscription to the channel. And see other publications on the channel.
