Review of the DeWALT DCD776S2 screwdriver!
The screwdriver is one of my main assistants in construction. I have tested different brands and models of this tool. Today I will tell you about the characteristics and personal impressions after working with the DeWALT DCD776S2 screwdriver.
Original DeWALT screwdrivers are manufactured in the USA. To begin with, this model can be used not only as a screwdriver, but also as a hammer drill. It does an excellent job not only with unscrewing and twisting various fasteners, but has the function of a jackhammer, can drill and drill holes. The blow is loud enough, but suitable for small jobs.
The tool is equipped with a brushless electric motor, which increases the service life and uses less energy. The screwdriver is equipped with two speeds, a 15-position torque regulator, has additional functions for drilling, drilling, reverse (reverse). There is an electronic speed control. The torque adjustment clutch allows you to set the required torque value as accurately as possible for a specific material density. The ratchet prevents overloads. The tool proved to be excellent in working with various materials and fasteners.
The power button is pressed smoothly enough, you can adjust the rotation force yourself. The reverse button is located just above the trigger. It is easy to use and can be turned on and off with a light touch of your thumb. Thanks to a special adapter and illumination of the working area, you can unscrew the fasteners even in hard-to-reach and dimly lit places.
The screwdriver comes with a case. The case is comfortable, made of dense plastic. The set with the tool includes a charger with a charge level indicator, a main and spare 18 Volt battery.
The instrument is generally good. All details are made with high quality. The gearbox is made of metal, which is an undoubted advantage, because makes the tool more durable. It fits comfortably in your hand. Non-slip thanks to the rubberized handle. The battery lasts for 3-4 hours of continuous use. The presence of a spare battery in the kit doubles this time.
In this model, I have identified the following disadvantages for myself:
- He's a little heavy (weight 1.7 kg).
- No belt clip.
- The brushes sparkle at first speed.
- The backlight is not very conveniently located.
- Applying a side load can damage the chuck.
- Not all types of work have enough power.
In addition, reviews sometimes write about backlash along the axis. I was fine with that.
