How often do tourists, people on a business trip or short-term training come to your city? Where do they prefer to live? Or maybe you yourself often go on such trips? If you answered “yes” to my questions, then this article may be useful to you. After all, it has a business idea and advice on how to implement it.
Organization of a hostel from an apartment - is it profitable?
In my opinion, hostels will always remain popular. There will always be people who want to save money. Even with a good level of income, a person is ready to spend the night in a hostel so as not to overpay for a few hours of rest. In addition to the growing demand for hostels among clients, there are several other advantages of such a business - minimal competition and low financial costs for equipping a hostel from an apartment. After all, the main expenses fall on the purchase of an apartment, which will remain in the property, even if the business fails.
How to organize a hostel from an apartment?
A one-room apartment or studio is not suitable for a hostel. There should be at least 2-3 rooms. It is necessary that they be located on the first or second floor of the house.
To obtain permission to convert an apartment into a hostel, it is necessary to transfer the residential premises to non-residential status. This is why the location on the first two floors is important. The hostel cannot be located on the upper floors, because legislation does not allow this, and permission to open a hostel will not work. Additionally, you should study the local legislation in your region, perhaps there are additions that must be observed before opening a hostel.
To re-register a residential premises into non-residential status, you must submit an application and a full package of documents, including the following documentation:
1. Certificate of ownership or an extract from the USRN.
2. Registration certificate of the apartment.
3. Floor plan of the building.
4. Apartment redevelopment project.
Having received permission, you can start redeveloping, carrying out repairs and arranging your future hostel. The bulk of the spending will be spent on purchasing or renting an apartment and repairing it. The location of the hostel in a residential building will require additional soundproofing, air conditioning and ventilation systems. It is necessary to check communications and arrange sleeping places and other necessary amenities.
