DIY wood smartphone holder

Nowadays, many people take photos and videos with their smartphones. And often there are situations when a smartphone needs to be fixed on a tripod, and for this you cannot do without a smartphone holder.

You can buy such holders, and you can also make yourself out of wood. And the manufacture of a wooden holder will require very few parts and material.

You can use any wood to make such a holder, but it seems to me that a more durable and attractive holder will come out of hardwood.

In the photo, the holder is made of ash, it will also look good from apple, mountain ash, cherry. In addition, suitable fruit tree branches may remain after pruning.

The device of the holder may not be the simplest, but also not very complicated.

The main part consists of two sticks glued together like the letter "G". In the short part, a nut is glued in from below, which is closed with a wooden washer. On the side where the smartphone is installed, a small notch is made in this part for better holding the phone.

The upper movable part is also glued in two parts and it also has a groove to fix the smartphone. The bar that goes into the main part is 20 mm long. This is exactly how much the width is adjusted so that you can install different phones.

A hole has been drilled inside the base. it is made deeper than necessary and an insert with a nut in the center is glued to the bottom.

A small wooden cylinder is glued to the top of the clamping screw as a handle.

Of course, you can buy such holders, since there is a choice.

On the other hand, such a wooden homemade holder is no worse than a factory one. Performs its task.
