Magnetic, marker or blackboard paints - innovations in home and office decoration!
Many people want to create not only coziness in the house, but also add something unusual and practical. Not so long ago, paint appeared to create a plot or a whole wall in a room for creativity, work, notes, etc. These are magnetic, blackboard and marker paints! The name speaks for itself! I'll tell you about each of them in more detail.
Slate paint
Blackboard paint creates the effect of a school blackboard on which you can write and draw with chalk. The paint is water resistant, so the chalk can be easily washed and the board can be reused. In addition, it has excellent protective properties - resistance to moisture, ultraviolet light, mechanical damage. The coating becomes dull and rough.
The most important is the coating with slate paint in children's rooms, offices, on kitchen aprons. In corridors, graphite is often used to protect walls from abrasion. Blackboard paint is made from acrylic with the addition of graphite chips, color pigment and special components that contribute to uniform application. Dries in about 4 hours.
Marker paint
Marker paint is used in interiors to create work and creative areas where you can write or draw with markers. Only water-based markers can be used for drawing. Not permanent in any way. They simply cannot be erased. Water markers are easily removed with a dry sponge or tissue.
The marker paint contains polymers and epoxy resins. It has a glossy shine and smooth texture. It is possible to apply marker paint only on even and smooth walls without chips, cracks, bulges. Marker paint is produced only in white and transparent colors. In order to make the coating colored, the surface must first be painted in the desired shade, and a transparent marker paint must be applied on top.
Expect marker paint to take a long time to dry. Drying takes about 10 days. I advise you not to try to paint until completely dry, otherwise there is a risk of leaving scratches.
Magnetic paint
Another innovation is magnetic paint. It contains metal chips, therefore, on the surface covered with such paint, they hold any magnets - photo frames, cards, souvenirs, etc. It is very convenient to use in the nursery for games, exhibitions and etc.
Magnetic ink has a gray tint. But if you need a different color, you can apply a thin layer of acrylic over the dried magnetic paint. Don't get carried away. Apply only 1 coat to keep the magnetic paint from losing its properties.
There were also varieties of magnetic ink - slate-magnetic and marker-magnetic.
