I often visit hardware stores. So recently I stopped by Leroy Merlin in our city, it was necessary to buy something for work and a summer residence. When I left, an unfamiliar male voice called out to me. I am usually stressed by such situations, but this time I reacted and decided to listen.

A young guy came up and said: “You don’t need a screwdriver? Excellent, branded, new! Take it for 3 thousand, in stores 2 times more expensive! ".

I wanted to turn around and go further, but my gaze stopped on the case with the instrument, and curiosity took up. I could not help myself and continued the conversation.

"Show!" - I say. We settled down on the trunk and began to inspect the screwdriver. I tried a lot of tools, I am guided by the topic, and prices too. I turned it over in my hands, everything was done efficiently. There are documents. Even the serial number is stamped. But naturally, no warranty coupons and seals.

I ask: “Where did you get it? Probably, you want to sniff me a fake?! " But I don't let go)) I checked all the switches, looked at the batteries - everything is as good as new, well, very high quality in appearance. The only thing I noticed was that the tool was released 2 years ago.

The boy sees that I am showing interest, begins to persuade, to convince that this is the original - the real Makita. Almost yesterday they brought it from the factory)) I exaggerate, of course)

Examined, checked again. Everything works fine. In appearance - no trick at all. Well, besides the fact that the sale is illegal. I decided to try to find out until the end where such a tool came from.

I say: “The price is, of course, attractive. But if the instrument breaks tomorrow, I won't be able to find you. I’ll just throw 3 thousand into the wind, and no one will change or fix the screwdriver for me. Let's cut the price by half, I'll take it for 1.5 ”.

"No,» - is talking, - "I can't, I need to give some of the money to other people."

Intrigued! He began to ask in more detail where the instrument came from, stolen or not? I heard before that tools are often taken out of large construction sites. But this is not the case. Did you take it out of Leroy? It seems to me that it is impossible. There are guards, cameras, good supervision. Or maybe it just seems so ...

I continue the conversation: “Tell me where you got it! I will not give money for a screwdriver of unknown quality, and even without a guarantee "

In general, in the end, the guy admitted that his "partners" take out the tool from the hardware store, and he sells it in all sorts of ways, including the bargaining near large construction networks.

Of course, he didn’t say who was taking it and where. But I would like to hope that it really is not a fake. Although the screwdriver is 2018. Maybe they just wrote it off? Or they sold it at a good markdown, and the workers bought it back. But there is no guarantee. So, they hardly bought it ...

I do not understand the scheme. Tools are offered very often. How can they be taken out in such quantity without being noticed? The guards and the management are not watching at all... In reality, such a screwdriver costs about 6 thousand rubles in the store.

I could not get the information out to the end. The guy was so upset that he said too much. But curiosity still does not leave me alone!
